When you own this Wide Mokume Gane and Damascus Ring, you own the heritage of masters from across the ancient world! From classical India and the Middle East come the base stainless metals of the ring, pattern-welded together for legendary durability and stunning, watery striations throughout the band. From antique Japan comes an extra wide 4mm wide mokume inlay. The inlay is an incredible laminate mix of precious palladium and sterling silver. The ring itself is cut in a sleek, flat profile that showcases the metals and makes for a spectacular Damascus steel wedding ring!

Our Mokume Gane and Damascus Ring evokes the skills of artists and craftsmen passed down through the centuries, but the look of the finished product is clean, crisp, and totally your own. The swirls and blends of metal on each and every ring will be unique, and no two of our Damascus Rings are exactly the same. To get started on creating yours, please select a size between 4 and 12.5, or choose a custom size from the options on this page. Also select a 5mm to 10mm width for your ring. Remember, we will contact you for additional customization details and to provide you with a final quote for this one-of-a-kind work of art.

About This Design:
Damascus steel is among one of the oldest metalworking techniques in the world and is a clever, almost magical method of blending two or more types of steel together. Originally developed to manage impurities in ancient steel, over time the process was refined to forge some of the strongest, most durable, and most fascinating steel objects ever created.

Mokume gane, loosely translated, means "wood grain metal" and describes the unique look of this laminate-style metalworking. Developed sometime during the 17th century in feudal Japan, mokume gane also involves a blend of materials, but with more of an emphasis on exotic metals and color. The two styles complement each other perfectly and, when combined by our master artists, create incredibly unique works of art. Each ring is a stand-alone masterpiece the likes of which you will never see again!
