About This Design: Making Damascus steel is something of an adventure. Originating deep in the mists of time, it's a process shrouded in mystery. Who invented it and many of its secrets still remain unknown and will likely never be discovered. But what is known of the process has been masterfully applied to each one of our Damascus wedding rings to create unparalleled works of art. We start with two thin pieces of steel that we press then weld together, folding and twisting to create a single richly layered bar. From this bar we cut each ring to size, allowing the folds of the steel to create the rippling patterns you see here. We then polish the ring to bring out the luster of the steels. Using this method of making Damascus steel, we can guarantee that no two rings will ever be exactly the same -- your ring will never know a copy, a clone, or a twin!
