About This Design: The markings on this Damascus Ring aren't etchings or brush marks, they're folds of steel formed as a result of Damascus metalworking. When we create this ring, we first take two stainless steels that we fuse together in a pattern welding process. The resulting billet is stretched, folded, and hammered to create a single bar. While the metal is solid all the way through, the original folds are still visible -- hence the patterns you see here.
