From the fittings of the finest Samurai swords of feudal Japan to a perfect fit for your finger, this Gold Twist Shakudo Ring makes the proud history of the Mokume Gane tradition a part of its design! These special titanium Mokume Gane rings feature a one-of-a-kind inlay composed of a rare mix of 22 karat gold and Shakudo metal (a pure copper and gold alloy). The metals of these Shakudo Rings have been artfully twisted together to form a compelling attention-grabbing design that is incredible to behold. The Shakudo has been slightly blackened to elevate the contrast and to showcase the alluring striations you see here. Titanium sidewalls add a level of durable comfort and help further protect the inlay from wear! Custom built for every client! At Titanium-Buzz, we don't do off-the-shelf. Our rings are made unique for each customer, including yours. To get started, we ask you first select a size for your Gold Twist Shakudo Ring between 4 and 12.5. You can also select from a 5mm, 6mm, 7mm (shown), 8mm, or 9mm width. Complete your ring with your choice of a polished (shown) or brushed finish. And as a final touch, remember that this ring includes up to 25 characters of engraving on the inside of the band at no additional charge! About This Design:
This ring uses the Mokume Gane process to forge together 22 karat gold and Shakudo alloys. It's a labor-intensive technique that requires a high degree of mastery and skill, and the process is a challenge that is not lightly undertaken. For those who do, however, the reward is the one-of-a-kind non-repeating patterns like the one shown here. For this particular piece, our artists chose blackened Shakudo for its dark, nearly purple coloration and the excellent contrast it provides against the gold. It's an elegant nod of respect back to the metal smiths of ancient Japan who used similar materials to inlay swords.
