Crafted from bars of Damascus steel, these rings bring out the best of a once-lost art that's coming back with a vengeance. Developed sometime in the fourth century (as in BC) and then lost for hundreds of years (aspects of it are still being rediscovered even now), Damascus steel is a method of combining steels into a single hybrid metal that is stronger, more resilient, and more attractive. The "tiger stripes" in these rings are actually the ripples of the different steels accentuated by an acid bath. They run all the way through the metal and no two rings are unique!
