About This Design: Mokume Gane is a centuries-old method of diffusion welding that combines different metal alloys into a single metal bar. Cut into the bar and you'll find the watery, wood grain-like patterns you see here. Though alloys are often chosen for their strongly contrasting colors, for this ring our artists chose white gold and silver for a more subtle, elegant effect.
